Physworks 1.2.2

Alrighty, this update is out of the door and available on the store. Now your probably wondering what is next. Well, quite a few things. Three of which you can expect to see in the 1.3 update.

Firstly, an overhaul of the UI system. Its appearance will look almost identical to what the game currently has, except it should be much smoother to use, as well as allowing me to do a lot of new, neat things with it, including proper localization/language support.

Next, Sandbox mode will be converted into a full level editor. You’ll still be able to load your current sandbox levels into it and play around, but you’ll also be able to add your own goals and inventory to it as well. This will most likely come along side the ability to upload your levels to Dropbox and/or download them via a URL.

Lastly, a mini-map overhaul.  Those of you who’ve made their own sandbox level full of of different types objects will know how hard the mini-map is to read when its a bunch of colored markers cowering away in the corner of your screen.  The marker based map will be removed and replaced by the map displaying mini versions of the same objects in the level itself. This means the enlarged map won’t need a legend/key anymore, which in turn means the enlarged map can be even larger!

There is no ETA on 1.3 just yet, but I’m working on it every chance I get. 🙂
